Week 7: Final Thoughts

      The last seven weeks have been a huge eye opener to the world of inquiry based learning. By biggest takeaway has been that inquiry learning does not always have to be one hundred percent student led and there is still room to incorporate more traditional methods of instruction. My perspective definitely has changed throughout the course. Originally, I would have said that inquiry based learning requires students to choose what they will learn, how they will learn, and how they will demonstrate mastery. I have learned that this is not at all the case. The teacher still plays a pivotal role in the way content is delivered and the pace that learning is experienced.     My favorite unit from this course is definitely unit 5. I love being able to explore new technologies and resources that I can bring into my own classroom and incorporate into my teaching practices.
